- PokmanCheungLondon, United Kingdom11 contributionsunforgettable experienceI booked a 4-hour safari a few days ago. It was an unforgettable experience. The huskies were amazing, all well-trained and always eager to go! The humans were not bad either 😜, very friendly and professional. I chose to drive on the way out, which was quite easy to learn, and then relaxed on the sled on the way back, all the while enjoying some beautiful scenery.Visited November 2023Travelled soloWritten 24 November 2023
- Szabina SBudapest, Hungary6 contributionsAbsolutely unique and lifetime experience <3I booked a 2-hour Husky sledding safari, which was an absolutely unique and unforgettable experience. The length of the ride was perfect. The group size was ideal (total number is sledges was 5, including the instructor's sledge). The huskies were all well-trained and obedient. The staff was very friendly and professional, they contributed a lot to this amazing experience. Unlike many other husky sledge provider, if you choose them, you will drive your own sled, which was one of the main reasons why I've chosen them. Before the actual sledge started, the staff provided safety instructions, so you get acquainted with the basis. In one another thing they also differs from many other providers is that you do the sledge in the nature, surrounded by snowy pines, which was very picturesque. One of my dreams came true with this experience. :)Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 24 January 2024
- Ole HBielefeld, Germany14 contributionsMust do for every dog and Adventure LoverI did the 4 hour Lunch Safari. I was greetet by cute dogs and our very friendly guide. The group was introduced in the use of the sled and then the beautiful Adventure began. We drove throu snowy woods and mountains. Driver and Passanger change the seat, so everyone can drive and make photos. In the middle of the toor, we did a Break on a Little house with lunch and fire and our guide answered all our questions to the dogs. At the end we drove over a beatiful lake.Visited March 2024Travelled soloWritten 27 March 2024

Emilie took us for the most amazing trip with the Alaskan dogs. At a temperature of -30 even for Emilie it was pretty cold but she still made it a heartwarming experience. Up on the hill we took a break in a cosy little cabin and Emilie made us some delicious Lohikeitto with some Kaurierieska, tea en Finnish cookies. After coming back at the kennel, we got plenty of time to cuddle the dogs, they are all very in for cuddling! We’ve enjoyed it a lot en would recommend the 6H Safari to everyone! Kind regards Nick&Melissa

We have spent an amazing winter vacation of 6 days by Extreme Huskies!
Beautiful surroundings, nice people, incredible dogs and a very cozy cabins!
Inside a cabin you'll have a stove, for which the staff supplies enough wood to keep it burning. An electric heating present as well, which will not let the temperature go too low in case if the fire in the stove goes off at night. You'll find a pot and a pan in case you would like to cook something, a tee pot, mugs and plates, forks and spoons.
Whether you wish to do a BBQ, there's an apart standing kota (finnish wooden hut), where you'll find all the tools you need to make a good BBQ on firewood.
You can also go to sauna on traditional finnish way, by bringing the water from the forest stream and heat it up in the tank together with the sauna itself, by burning the wood in the sauna's stove. We were running out of the sauna and jumping in the snow! :) Amazing!
Every morning you get a nice breakfast at the reception kota.
If you wish, you can also book sledding with the huskies! (Be sure you do it in advance cause they could be fully booked!) They also gave us tips for booking snowmobile safaris, rendier sledding and renting Bigfoot mountain bikes and ski trough their partners from Ivalo.
There's no running water in the cabin and that's the reason why you'll have to learn to use bio toilet. (It isn't something terrible at all) Drinking water you'll get from the staff in tanks of 10L and every time one is empty you'll get another.
So after all said above, I think it might be not a place for people addicted to maximum comfort. You'll have to do some effort to enjoy things in there. But it is for sure a great experience! And sure this is a place for someone who's looking for an adventure! For myself I know that I'll be back one day!
Big thanks to Extreme Huskies! You are the best!

We had a wonderful time discovering the wild nature and white landscapes till the frozen lake. It was as magic as you can see on TV. But the most unforgettable was sharing a unique time with the dogs and get to know them better thanks to Emilia‘s explanations. From the fun of the slide to the cuddling time and sharing snacks in the warm refuge made this afternoon and unforgettable experience. You can book and you will love it!

I believe that there are a lot of husky farms in Ivalo/nearby but I would highly recommend this company. Seemed that they treat their dogs really well. The experience was amazing, great for pictures, enjoyed the ride really much. Dogs were really clingy and friendly and we miss them already. Free pick-up from our hotel.

Two weeks ago, we spent 3 days with Extreme Huskies doing the overnight tour, where we had the most amazing time. We were welcomed by Emilie, our guide, who helped us pack the sledges and prepare the dogs for the upcoming days. The whole staff is very friendly and helpful, you can feel the love and passion they have for their dogs.
If you are looking for an adventurous, authentic and hands-on experience, you are in the right place! From setting up camp, feeding the dogs, making their bed of hay for the night, to preparing them every morning for the day ahead, you will be able to experience it all. All of this while eating fresh and delicious homemade food in a beautiful, wild and remote scenery.
The dogs are very well taken care of (they even have their own made to measure coat ;) ) and it’s a pleasure to be around them and to cuddle them.
Special thanks to Emilie for her amazing guiding skills, her sense of humour, her love for the dogs and her passion for this sport. It was truly an unforgettable experience and we strongly recommend that you to give it a go. You will LOVE it!
Thank you again for everything!

My husband and I had an incredible time with Extreme Huskies! We did the four hour lunch tour, which seemed like the perfect amount of time. I always look for humane experiences, and I could tell these dogs were well loved and cared for. They were conditioned but not overrun.
Our course got us out in the wilderness and didn’t make you feel as if you were on a small carnival or kiddie ride. It was a great experience! It is quite cold, so I recommend bringing hand warmers and foot warmers. As a passenger, you aren’t moving a ton, so you tend to get colder.
We enjoyed experience this immensely!

An incredible beautiful experience that makes the adventure heart beat faster. The dogs have a nice home & it's nice to see how happy they are as soon as the tour starts. Even nicer that they also let themselves be petted during the breaks and you can tell that they are doing well. Our tour went through the snowy forests over a frozen lake - beautiful scenery. You can steer the sled yourself. In between we even saw reindeer, here we have to emphasize how good our guide was. Emilie brought us closer to the country and the life of the huskies in a wonderful way and played a significant part in making it such a great experience.

Sini truely managed to give us a „dream come true“-experience. We booked a 2-hours extreme husky-tour. The tour was exciting but easily doable, even for beginners. My girlfriend and I were able to change who is driving half way through the husky safari. The dogs were going pretty fast and we were amazed by their stamina as they were pulling like crazy until the very end of the journey. We had a lot of fun and even got to see little baby huskys at the end of it. And if that wasn‘t enought already, Sini prepared a cake for my girlfriend, as it was her birthday. Thank you very much, we would do it again and can highly recommend it to anyone who loves some winter action!

Thank you @Extreme Huskies for this unforgettable experience! From the very beginning we felt very welcomed and the passion Sini & the team has for their huskies is amazing. Just before the tour started, I was a little nervous to drive the sledge but we received great instructions. The huskies were on fire during the whole tour, which went trough the forest & along a frozen lake - just beautiful! At the end, we enjoyed some hot tee/coffee next to a fire place & we had the chance to see baby huskies😍 If you want to do a husky safari, go with Extreme Huskies!

Exceptional experience in Ivalo Lapland Beautiful experience
with all huskies and staff you get very much explained also a puppy viewing was there. The tour itself has something for every taste in different lengths. You can even drive the sled yourself steering a truly unique experience. In the end there was even a hot tea by the campfire and a small snack.
