We saw the castle only from outside as it has been closed during our staying in Halmstad. But anyway, we liked the architecture.

Other than the story behind it has nothing special. It makes a good picture due to its location. The town is nice though, I liked it. I am glad I stopped here driving to Gothenburg.

Nice calm part of the town. The castle was closed at time of our visit but we could enter the court yard. Quate impressive but nothing spectacular.

If you know the history of this castle it is very interesting. Otherwise it is a nice place to visit if you happen to be in Halmstad.

This very central building is famous for the meeting between the Swedish and the Danish kings many years ago. Today is looks rather much like any castle, but there can be theater and other activities sometimes.
