The area
Neighbourhood: Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely park with a unique style in the center of Stockholm, area Norrmalm with Vasastan. You can visit the statues of 2 famous Swedish authors here. Depending on the season you can enjoy it in a very different way, but Summer vibes in such a green area with that Asian fountain-garden gives a nice view and feeling.

Calm park in the middle of the city. Good if you need to relax for a while. Grass area with some places to sit, a little artificial waterfall. Beatiful older buildings around. Good if you have some time you need to kill and just want to sit w a coffee and take it easy for a while.....

This hotel met our expectation very well. The hotel took note of our special requests on arrival which was very much appreciated. The hotel was in a great location, quiet, secure and comfortable. The breakfast has fresh fruit and had great views on the sixth floor. We would not have any hesitation on revisiting this hotel in the future.

I was unable to stay at hotel and was very disappointed with their customer service.
I explained to hotel that my wife and I was travelling from overnight ferry from Helsinki to Stockhlom. The viking ferry had cancelled all crossings which meant being unable to get to hotel.
The only thing they offered me was extending the time I could visit hotel was up to December this year, not even an offer of rescheduling holiday for next year.
With all the upset of covid and mangel self isolating restrictions this was a very poor resolution from them.
The hotel might have been amazing for all I know but customer service is shocking.
We are still going to rebook our Baltic adventure for next year but will definitely not be booking this hotel.
We have had to go the charge back route via credit card to get our money back which I think will cost the hotel more.

This park is very central, close to the biggest shopping area in Stockholm. If you are visiting Stockholm with kids, this place is a great tip! In the summer time the park has a kiddie pool and a shower to use. It also has a playground. Great if one of you want to do some shopping, the other one can stay here with the kids. Plus, you will be surrounded by interesting architecture from the 17th century.

it's also a romantic place for a picnic.

It was in ancient times several large windmills here, but as the city grew and the buildings came up in the late 1800 so transformed this very hill to a small charming park. Here sits himself the famous swedsh author August Strindberg statue and the park occur in some different context in some of Astrid Lindgren's children books. During the war years the park was mostly a playground and the kids went down with sledge to Sveavägen ... Today the park is a little more secluded but still beautiful in their best moments. If you go around the corner to Tegnergatan and the slope down to Sveavägen, there's a whole different world of restaurants and shopping boutiques.

Ok I stayed at this hotel only for one night but I was very pleased because it was fit for my purpose. Great location, near the old city, very clean and with great breakfast! Also the price was very logic. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful.

On the one end of the park is a playground for children. The other side is calmer if you want to relax.

There are statues for two Swedish authors: August Strindberg and Astrid Lindgren.

The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the centre of town. The bathroom was small but the bedroom was very comfortable. There was a pedestrian street close to the hotel which we used several times. Breakfast was excellent. Very happy stay.
