Amazing pub

We had a great time at this place. Small and cozy, the staff was friendly and there was a good blues band playing. When in Stockholm with friends I will be back!

Slid into this place on a snowy Saturday afternoon as live blues music was scheduled to play at 14:30. I'd recommend getting in an hour before the music if you want a seat and a view. Good atmosphere. Pricey drinks as expected but fair beer selection. Can't comment on food but saw someone order a good sized portion of nachos... More

The entrance fee was 50 SEK and it was worth it! Very good music and it was not too crowded. I would recommend it to everyone who is in the neighborhood.

One of the better pubs I've been to. Rather expensive beer but comes with a fantastic vibe. Live band and people dancing, wonderful stop on our night out. Will certainly come back. Friendly staff and service was good.

Live music, great beer, relaxed atmosphere. What more could you want? We meant to stay for a couple of hours, ended up all night here, time just disappeared listening to a live country group (country music isn't even our thing normally). I believe they have all genres of music jazz etc... If this bar was at home, I would be... More

Wanted to see some live music on a Monday night....so this was the only place I could find! It's got a very unique decor with lots of old antiques and musical instruments hanging from the ceiling. Te band was good the night I went. I'd definitely go back!

I have been a professional international musician for the past 25 years and have been a regular musican performing at Stampen for the past 8 years. It is one of my favourite places to play and hang out at in Gamla Stan (Old Town). I actually met my wife there 4 years ago while perfoming on tour at Stampen and... More

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
