the museum is located in a central place of the city (in Gamla Stan) and you can reach it in a simply way. The tour starts from the ground where you can find something that recalls early times when mail was sent first by hand,...More

One of the lesser known museums in Stockholm is the Postal museum located in the old town. It is a nice story about the Swedish postal history, uniforms and stamps. It is inexpensive and you can easily spend two hours walking around the museum and...More

Worth a stop if you have the Stockholm pass. Centrally located in Gamla Stan and kids enjoyed displays and dressing up

We loved this quirky museum! It was very quiet - I don't think it is well advertised or considered one of the places to go when in Stockholm. It is set over three floors and each has something to see and do. There were chances...More

We spent a great few hours at this museum today. My kids are 6 and loved the little post office section! They could have played there all day! They have a lovely arts and crafts section with a person helping the kids make postcards, badges...More

I like to warn everyone for this place. It looks very nice and it is a beautiful building. The restaurant room is airy and very nice. The food however lacks quality and passion. It is expensive and without ambition. It is sloppily served. The service...More

Very cool museum that highlighted the nuances of a postal service that runs across a very unique country. Definitely worth stopping in!

I must confess, not an easy place to locate. I am glad we did not give up, as it explained how the Swedish post service has evolved over the years.

I went here with my wife and three year old son in Aug 2016. We went at 11.00 when the place opened and went directly to the Lilla posten downstairs. It was great! Kid got to drive and pack an old postal car, stamp packaging...More

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)
