THE WORLD'S ORIGINAL ICE BAR ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is the world's first permanent bar made of ice, built in 2002. Every year in April, the interior and design is renewed with fresh ice from Torne River and skilful ice sculptors from ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi in the very north of Sweden. ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is open all year and has a constant temperature of -7 degrees celsius (19 degrees fahrenheit). The interior is made out of sculpted ice from the arctic Torne River, just like the glasses your drink is served out of. The bar has room for up to 60 people. The entry fee includes a cocktail and a visit lasts about 40 minutes. Children are welcome, and are served a colourful kids' drink. ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is centrally located on Vasaplan, next door to Stockholm Central Station and the airport shuttle train Arlanda Express. Nordic C Hotel is located in the same building as ICEBAR Stockholm. Since it opened in 2002, the ice bar has become a popular attraction in Stockholm, attracting both tourists and locals who want a slice of the arctic north in downtown Stockholm.

Icebar by Icehotel Stockholm is so conveniently located right next to Central Station, airport express city station, anyone visiting Stockholm city should try this unique experience. It might sound touristy as 'Must Go", so my friend & I thought we would just walk-in as our...More

We just walked in. Did not need a reservation. It was not a weekend. We pay the entry fee which included one drink. They gave us a parka to put on. The drinks were served in ice. The sculptures were pretty. The bar was cool....More

A visit to this bar was included in our tour of the Old Town. It is located in the Nordic C Hotel. You are provided with an insulated cloak prior to entering, which is via an "air-lock" method, closing the outer door before the inner...More

Very "cool" experience. They give you parkas and gloves to help with the cold. However, don't plan on spending too much time there because it's too cold to stay more than 30 minutes. The drinks came in ice glasses which was neat, and were good....More

We were a bit skeptical going in the bar. We thought it would unique but did not even dream how extraordinary it is. We stopped by for a non-alcoholic drink (cheaper) and had lots of fun. A lot of photo opportunities. Bartender was very informative...More

We celebrated my nieces 24th birthday here with about nine family members. We were worried about the temperatures but each of us were given a heavy parka with gloves. We went inside a chamber and waited for the first set of doors to close and...More

You can't be in here too long - about a half hour - and its a bit pricey. On top of that its very cold inside. So why spend money to be uncomfortable for a half hour? Because its awesome. You can't miss an opportunity...More

We went a couple of minutes in our free time to watch and try the ice bar. We got a couple of drinks in cubes of ice and made the experience unique. This one is a MUST VISIT.

Don't remember exact time but were there in early afternoon. Maybe just before or after lunch time.
