THE WORLD'S ORIGINAL ICE BAR ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is the world's first permanent bar made of ice, built in 2002. Every year in April, the interior and design is renewed with fresh ice from Torne River and skilful ice sculptors from ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi in the very north of Sweden. ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is open all year and has a constant temperature of -7 degrees celsius (19 degrees fahrenheit). The interior is made out of sculpted ice from the arctic Torne River, just like the glasses your drink is served out of. The bar has room for up to 60 people. The entry fee includes a cocktail and a visit lasts about 40 minutes. Children are welcome, and are served a colourful kids' drink. ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is centrally located on Vasaplan, next door to Stockholm Central Station and the airport shuttle train Arlanda Express. Nordic C Hotel is located in the same building as ICEBAR Stockholm. Since it opened in 2002, the ice bar has become a popular attraction in Stockholm, attracting both tourists and locals who want a slice of the arctic north in downtown Stockholm.

It's good but not amazing. For the price you pay and the drink you get (don't make it the wolverine) it is very very good. It is a fun laugh with groups or couples but over than reading the history and go around a few times it will get a little tedious and you will probably only stay about 20... More

This place deserves a bad review: It's not worth drinking a bad cocktail surrounded by ice bricks. There was one ice "sculpture" which was mostly melted. Basically, it wasn't artfully done and the few carvings were done by machine. I didn't even take any pictures. Other than that there is one small table. Everything including the gloves, coats, seats, and... More

I don't know what to say to convince you that this bar is not worth your time or money. What is a great idea with so much potential has simply not been executed well. I have been to several other ice bars/exhibitions around the world and every single one of them is better than this. Based on the description online... More

We decided to visit the ice bar after passing it on a bus tour. I booked via my phone for later that day (you get a small discount if you book in advance. It cost just over £30 for the two of us and this includes 1 drink each (£8 for a refill) drinks are served in ice glasses. The... More

Before Stockholm, we were Ice Bar virgins. I’ve come across these in Vegas and NYC, but never really had the desire. But, when a lot of different blogs and friends were recommending this in Stockholm, I figured that maybe we were missing out on some icy awesomeness. Well, my *FOMO instinct led us in the wrong direction. Listen, I am... More

Everything is ice from the bar to the cups to the walls... there are lots of cool facts about ice-dwelling animals on the walls and an ice slide for your empty cup to slide down into the bin. Great fun!

I was intrigued to visit Icebar. Its atmosphere is very unique, very impressive, it was really fun to experience the cold bar, with its ice sculptures and engravings, and be able to enjoy a drink from an ice glass. Excellent esperienta is definitely something fun.

It's a great experience to stay there, the service is just perfect. The concept is unique, really. Don't forget to make a reservation on their website. Thet let you stay 40 minutes and i would say that is enough because it's cold and everythin is from ice so no place to sit. The place is small but feels somehow cozy.... More

You book for a 45 minute timeline (book online - even only minutesbefore and you pay a slightly lower price - we paid 195kr each. If you book days or weeks in advance the price is lower still You enter the bar in a poncho and gloves - I was dressed for the snow outside and did not feel the... More

Touristy stop we know, but it was well worth it - we had great fun. Lots of great photo opportunities with tasty cocktails. The lighting was very pretty and the wildlife themed ice sculptures were a really nice touch. We really enjoyed this stop.
