The Church of Saint Clare is in central Stockholm, not far from the Central Railway Station. The church was founded during the 13th century, but it was later torn down and reconstructed from scratch during the 16th century, and further altered after that.
The 116 meters tower is one of the tallest church towers in Sweden, and the church is in a nice garden surrounded by modern buildings.
The church interior is interesting, especially the painted ceilings.

Neither the most inspiring nor uninspiring building. Good to have a quick wander around and the building has an interesting history.

This church, which was built in 1694, offered some beautiful views of the architecture of the period, along with some of the artwork that make their churches stand out. The vaulted ceilings that cap the entire length of the building are truly beautiful, with gold inlay and paintings that are worth the visit. Considering its proximity to the "main road" of the Old Town, this is definitely worth seeing,

Nice place to visit while in Stockholm. At least see it from the out side (actually you can't miss it). If you're lucky then they're playing some orgel music inside. Also, please show some respect and take no photos inside when there is a mass or other gathering.

Located near my hotel, I stopped here when I saw someone entering it. Inside were choir members getting ready for the service. I was told that they would open for service at 11:00 am.
This church is beautiful and well- maintained. I briefly took some pictures of its altar, wall decorations, etc I asked about the church denomination and learned that it is a Lutheran Church.
Did not stay for service due to time constraints. I was there at 9:00 and service does not start until 11:00 a.m.

Second tallest church in the whole of Scandinavia. The church itself is a masterpiece of barock with inclusions from renaissance. The houses from late 1600:s and 1700:s. The family crypts around are in awful disrepair and unattended.

I accidentally ended up in this church when I shortly stepped out from the Stockholm main railway station while changing trains. The church is huge, ancient, peaceful, beautiful and charming. For me it was a perfect place for a short break from my everyday hurries.

When does the organist practice?
Every day or certain days and what time.

That's a good question. Not possible to answer. S:ta Clara is a very busy church with lots of activities. You must check with the organist Per Thunarf.
