Stockholm was the first European city I visited. I love the street scenes with people walking by and the old (and new) buildings. It was also around Christmas, so decorations and Christmas lights were everywhere. It felt good walking down the streets in the morning...More

It`s a pretty long, modern, pedestrian street, lined with all kinds of shops and restaurants. Considering the crowd, I`d say it`s one of the major shopping areas in the city. I guess it`s worth a stroll. Nice but nothing special.

Stay off this street. The street seems like a seedy extension of the Central Train Station. It is filled with tourists, covered in dirt and chewing gum, and the shops are just ok or a bit cheap.

Drottninggatan is a nice contrast from Gamla Stan. It's a modern area full of shops. You don't necessarily have to visit it if you don't like shopping or seeing a crowd full of people everywhere, but I recommend to at least stroll the area once...More

Lots of sights and beautiful architecture. Clean and well kept, but wear comfortable shoes because it is a long walk.
