Neighbourhood: Djurgården & Djurgårdsbrunn
The island of Djurgården and its northern mainland extension, Djurgårdsbrunn, impress with a mix of nature and an abundance of museums, while being located in walking distance to Stockholm’s city center. Djurgården not only invites visitors to take endless walks through a beautiful park landscape without having to leave the city, but also offers an incredible range of entertainment facilities, such as an open air museum which specializes in the Swedish way of life pre-industrialization, the renowned Vasa Museum with its legendary sailing ship, and Sweden’s most famous amusement park Gröna Lund, which is more than a 100 years old.

The walk along the river from Gamla Stan to Djurgarden is beautiful, and was my favorite part of the trip to Stockholm.

The old royal hunting grounds on Djurgarden have some great walking trails. You can walk all around the island for free. In addition to the walking trails there are also museums like the Vasa Museum and the Viking Museum as well as Skansen and the amusement park. But, just walking around the forested areas of the island is very relaxing and a great way to get some exercise and reduce your stress.

One of the most beautiful islands in Sweden, a green island with an amazing view of the lake. Several museums, one near the other. You can sit on a bench and be impressed by the view, instead of several restaurants, some of the restaurants are close to museums.
Transport - tram line 7 stops on the spot.

Nice area with parks, zoo, amusement park and waterfront. Lovey in the summer. the walk from nybroplan along the waterfront to Djurgarden is also atmospheric, with all the boats.Recommended to go if the weather is good.

This sort of put spaces is usually a good experience. This place is in need of repair. That was the only thing.

A lovely massive park on an island in the centre of Stockholm hosting many attractions; including the must see Vasa Museum, Abba Museum, Skansen, Nordic Museum and so many other attractions. You could easily spend a few days here and not see it all.

Highly recommended
