What an idillic place to have so close to such a busy part of Essex.
Although the carpark gets very busy on a weekend the area is so large that once you’re in the woods you barely see another person. Mostly dog walkers like us....More
Parkrun every Saturday morning. Good for clearing out the Friday night hangover.
Also a nice place for a stroll, although let down by some careless dog owners leaving dog cr*p on the parth or hanging the dump bags from trees. Lovely!

The woods are probably about a mile from the station. You can catch a bus from the station, (opposite side of the road) a number 8 to the woods or if you walk to the next bus stop towards Hockley, you can catch a 7 or an 8... More
