Welcome to Fredriksdal museums and gardens Nowhere in Europe will you find an equivalent to Fredriksdal. This is Skåne in miniature, with 360,000 square metres of unique settings, buildings and gardens. Here, the history and diversity of the countryside are caringly kept alive. With its museums and gardens, Fredriksdal offers interesting activities for all ages, all year round. Take an explanatory walk, watch the animals grazing or join the manor maids for an interesting tour. Buy a bag of old fashioned sweets in the old town quarter, or your favourite rose in the flower shop. Find answers to your questions on nature or folklore, or just lie back and relax in a hammock. With its historical parks and gardens, houses and farms, animals, meadows, woods and pastures, all situated around an eighteenth century manor house, a visit to Fredriksdal is like making a journey back into the past.

We visited for the christmas market in December. It after dark it was really nice with all the candles and lamps. Most of the shops were kinda mediocre, but some stood out. The historical buildings were so-so.

The weather wasn't the best when we visited, but we still had fun wandering around the grounds. Our on-leash dog was welcome and she loved sniffing the pigs, sheep and goats. There were also chickens and horses and cows to observe and the barn had some signs in Swedish explaining the breeds, etc. The historical buildings and gardens were interesting... More

We were on a Baltic Sea Cruise and had one day in Helsingborg. We had been to other Swedish ports but wanted to get out of town and see some countryside. The Fredriksdal is an open-air museum a 30 minute walk from the harbour. We loved the rustic farm houses and animals plus the old village and museum. We especially... More

Primarily a botanical garden with some old buildings and history of southern Sweden. The signage in English could have been better. It was worth a visit but wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

There is certainly much to walk around in this 'Victorian' manor house (little in tn house) and extensive gardens and woodland. We spent two hours walking around and looking inside some buildings. There is a working (old) printing press and museum and an a few other old buildings. We saw some traditional Swedish folk doing something for a guided tour... More

Fredriksdal Museums & Gardens has a mansion from the late 1700's, a café, old style shops, beautiful plants, animals and much more. We paid 70 SEK/person at our visit

It is a peaceful place for family visit. Kids were dancing with midsummer music in the garden. For adults, unique tree garden is there. Next month, they will have a rose exhibition.

This is about 25 minute walk out of town. Looked to be mainly used for schools for children to visit. Nothing really special to write home about but you can spend an hour or two wandering around. Most of the attractions/homes are not manned and much of it is just a quick glance.
