Visited on a cold sunny day in February. You can drive almost all the way to the fort, but have to walk the last metres. On a cold sunny day it is almost magical. You can still walk inside the walls and even on to...More

One of the more exciting places in Oland, especially if you manage to come and see it during summer when there are reenactments and museum open. We came by the end of the tourist season, but enjoyed our visit nevertheless.

I learnt so much! I love history and to go round this sympathetically restored site was very interesting. Our guide was an archeologist from Blekinge Museum and so happy to discuss with me possible relationships between here and the viking kingdoms of the Scottish Isles...More

Our family of 7 decided this was a must see attraction! There was parking available, bathrooms, covered picnic tables for a picnic, and so much to see inside the fort. There are signs inside the fort, in English, so one can really begin to understand...More

A fully reconstructed fortress from the Iron Age. Good guided tours and interesting activities for the kids such as bow archery, baking, and iron casting.

The fort is well reconstructed, and provides visitors a peek into the Viking's way of life. There's activities for kids to experience throughout the compound, archery, braiding, ancient baking, pillow games etc. There's also a few free roaming piglets. A small museum displaying archeological finds....More

This is the most beautiful and best preserved fortress in the island. It is open only during high season, but if you are lucky, the doors are open, and you can still visit the fortress (not the museum). I was there in Midsummer, and though...More

Children could probably spend a whole day here if they have all the activities going with breadbaking, bow and arrows and more. Pigs run free.
