It is only a short drive out of Gavle, so we had a coffee on the terrace before doing the 1pm tour. After a short talk in Swedish, then translated into English, we walked over to the field to meet one moose cow, then into the wood to see some of the others including Dennis, a 15 year old bull.... Family run and family orientated. Beautiful scenery, fresh air and moose up close. Very enjoyable day walking through park. Feeding moose was fun. Such large beautiful animals. Park honors and treats moose with respect and good care. Staff is friendly and welcoming. .

The funny thing about him is that his favorite food is bananas. I have a cousin from California and the family with 2 children... More

If you ever wanted to get a closer look at the largest animal of the northern forests this is a good place to go to. Guided tours during the spring/summer takes you close to the semi-wild mooses that are held in this large park. English and german spoken. Cafe and giftshop, cottages for staying overnight.
