The entrance (west of Umea) was well marked. The "mansion" looked like it was closed for the season, but we enjoyed the overlook nonetheless...it was a beautiful setting to enjoy our own glass of wine and the breeze! Hiking on both sides of the river...More

A beautiful place to walk around in, different types of trees and plants from all over the world. I have experienced new sight from everytime I've visited and it's nice to be surprised.

If like to walk, this would be a good place for you. You can see many different kinds of trees and read about them. If you get tired, you can rest and have a snack at the the cafeteria

Trees from all over the world, not supposed be here, but the micro-climate of the northern shore of Uman River allows it. Take a bike-tour or a long walk from the centre of Umeå, about 8-10 km west. Lovely view of the river. Only recommended...More

This arboretum has hiking paths and includes a bike path to Umea. It is on the location of a 19th c. sawmill and rapids on the river Ume (I think that's the name of this river). The manor house is still there and on occasion...More
