I remember Parer the magician, sim saller bin! who always intrigued me as a youngster, I watch Penn and Teller and have seen various famous magicians including Copperfield in Vegas when I was playing cards there. But Tim is the best, a master illusionist and brilliant entertainer.

Excellent magic show performed by a master at the top of his game. Laneway Theatre is an excellent venue and the show is an experience not to be missed.

A fabulous show! Tim Ellis is a wonderful showman. The tricks were astounding! Love the lead up to the show,where you have to give the password and enter the initial room - lots of fun. The theatre is a great setup. Comfortable seats. The toilet is worth a visit - also fun.

This show was amazing and so captivating, I love how he gets the audience involved and tells a story, this is a must see show!

Amazing show and venue! Even entering the venue itself is another experience by itself! Tim as the entertainer is really engaging and welcoming to all of the audience. Would definitely be back here again next time there’s a show and I’m in Melbourne

Tim gave many weeks of free magic shows during Melbourne's lockdown of 2020 and 2021 went to support his show on 18/06 and came back the next sat on 25/06 as was fascinated by his audience choose your own magic show items form the menu and Tim even went above and beyond to ensure the show wasn't repeated in the two consecutive shows we attended. highly recommended Saturday night show for solo, couples, and families. Thanks Tim!

Up so close and still completely amazed by this master of magic. The whole show was captivating. Wonderful warm welcome and then the time flew by as Tim entranced us with his stories, charm and illusions.

Fantastic show. Incredibly entertaining and magical, and a much more interesting night out than your average trip to the cinema!

We had no idea what we were in for when we rang the doorbell, whispered the secret words and the door creaked open. From the moment we stepped foot into secret laneway theatre we had a feeling that whatever happened next would be surprising. And we were not disappointed.
The theatre is actually in Tim Ellis’ very own house. And Tim makes you feel right at home. A visit to the twinkling star toilet is a must, listen out for the unnerving phone call ;-)
Tim has woven incredible magic and illusions into a fabulous choose your own story (or rather 4 course meal). Tim is warm, funny natural story teller, his magic is so clever. The whole audience is invited to join in the show. Having sat right next to Tim I still couldn’t work out how he did it.
This show is such a treat for all ages. Don’t miss out! Guessing that because the audience chooses their own adventure no two nights could ever be the same.

If you like to shake things up then Tim Ellis and the Laneway theatre is the place for you. It’s full of surprises. From the anonymous wooden Laneway door to walking through the coffin and finally into the intimate theatre. And this is before the show has even started!
Tim is a first class showman. An amazing magician full of great tricks. The tricks just flowed seamlessly and became progressively more impressive.
Don’t miss out on this treasure of melbourne.
