Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A wonderful place of worship with a long history given that its foundations date back to the 13th century. What we admire today was finished in the mid 1500s.

Outstanding in brick and grand in style, it looked most impressive in the mid morning light.

Inside is marvellous. Gilt ornamentation is throughout particularly so around the altar. A terrific organ is in place.

A delightful pulpit is just one of the features of the great nave. Crowned by a lovely ceiling in white.

You can see this church from afar but it is a sort of hidden gem with a very long and interesting history. I purchased a brochure / booklet inside and explored the grounds. Very well maintained!

Named after its patron saint, St. Olaf. Church was founded in about 1200 but current building was completed in 1559. Built of red bricks, its a three aisle church with central aisle as higher. Its organ was built in 1969. Pulpit dated 1567 is among the oldest in Denmark. Altar is beautiful and inlayed in gold.

It is the cathedral church of the town. With a history going back to around 1200, the present building was completed in 1559. In 1961, the church was given the status of cathedral in connection with the establishment of the Diocese of Helsingør.

You don't need to read a lot about the history, which in itself is very interesting. Just having a look inside this impressive church is well worth a visit.

When walking between the rail station and the castle, a small detour takes you into the narrow streets of Helsingoer, where you will pass by this large, ancient church.

We would have loved to visit this church but it was closed and locked on a Sunday. No sign or any idea of when the church is open so that we could plan another visit.
