Neighbourhood: Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

This is Lego's Copenhagen flagship store and one can find the latest Lego sets here. The Pick & Build wall in this store is also one of the largest among all the Lego shops I have visited around the world. There are also nice displays of Lego's past logos and a pretty model of Copenhagen's Nyhavn. The shop is very popular on weekends and one may need to wait outside the shop when the store's capacity is reached. While this store offers the latest Lego sets, those who are budget conscious and don't mind older sets may find cheaper prices in other shops, such as Føtex hypermarket. (I bought a Lego set in this shop for 549 DKK only to find it priced 449 DKK in Føtex...)

We went to the Lego store as a treat for the boys, we were welcomed on the door by Emilie who was amazing. She explained all the new Super Mario Lego to the boys and answered all the (numerous) questions that our 5 year old had to ask. Nothing was too much trouble, she was kind and chatty and the boys just didn't want to leave. She also got them both a Super Mario hat and was really knowledgeable about all the Lego. What a fantastic employee who is going to go far in life with her brilliant attitude! Thanks for making our visit so enjoyable :)
Store also well managed with hand sanitizer and plenty of room.

It is not Legoland but if you are a LEGO lover I recommend to visit it. There are various sets of LEGO and also separately individual pieces which is amazing. You can find there Copenhagen places like Nyhavn. I was here in October and there were motives from Star Wars, some life-size characters. You can find this place on Stroeget.

I am an absolute Lego fan and as Denmark is the home of Lego it was something on my bucketlist to see. Not really to buy Lego as you can buy anything on the website, just to see the store and decoration as it's always specific to the location. In this case of course Nyhavn. But it would have been nice to see a little mermaid too. It's a lovely shop in the middle of the city, well stocked. Make sure you go to the Lego shop and not a toy shop a few metres down the road, where they also have a massive Lego sign at the entrance. I went into that first and was a bit surprised, until I walked down further to find the real store. Apart from the usual current Lego sets and Pick a brick wall/Make a minifigure, there is nothing specific to buy from this store. But, I was glad I visited.

Lego is a family store founded in 1932 in Denmark. We can find the place in the center of the city. It has a complete display of its products, a play area for the children and all the variety that lovers of these bricks can imagine, being able to buy wholesale specific items with a huge variety of shapes and colors.

This stop was a high priority for us. Got a souvenir Lego passport (you get unique stamps when you visit various Lego stores around the world). Some great displays, unfortunately no space in the luggage for the giant Lego Millennium Falcon, unless ...

Lego is typical Danish and this store is a must visit. Although I have seen better Lego Store (including non-official), this was still a worth visit. Kind staff, a lot of products and very spacious.
Unfortunately, prices are (much) higher than the next-door toy store and not the full collection.

Is there any exclusive sets or Lego pieces that can only be bought in Denmark please?
Written 9 June 2019
Hi, I'm not too sure if they are exclusive or not to Denmark but they appear to sell sets with different landmarks in Copenhagen like New Haven. It's really worth a visit if you are in that area and you collect lego sets but they all seem to be on the expensive side!
