This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

Card was reasonably priced and easy to pick up at airport. Free admission to nearly every attraction, transportation, and tour in Copenhagen. Best part was the App. It tracks your location and identifies all the attractions nearby along with hours, etc and will GPS guide you to them. Awesome. A must for visiting Copenhagen.

We bought the 72 hour one which admittedly is a lot of money, but for the public transport and entry into so many things it was well worth it. It covered the rail journey and entry to Roskilde Boat Museum, our particular reason for going having seen the boat at the British Museum a few years ago. It saved us money to and from the Amager Danhostel on Metro, train and bus. Would buy one again, no doubt , but plan your visits to get the best value in return. Then go and have a pint with the nice Geordie bar-owner in the square. Lovely in the sunshine!

We bought this prior to our recent trip and picked them up at the airport.
At the time it seemed a big cost as due to the time we where spending there we opted for the 5 day card. Collection at the airport quick and easy and we headed by train straight into the centre.
We did so much with his card. A lot of things we planned to do and some we didn’t, the fact it covered transport as well was great and we used the trains, metro and water buses with no issues at all. Without transport costs we worked out we saved about £160 on what we would of paid out without the card, factoring transport in it would of been much more.
I would advise researching opening times before you go as some places are closed Monday’s and others open later some days. Others are by organised tour (city hall tower) so you just need to be organised. This was no issue for us at all and we packed loads in. In an expensive city this was, we felt, a great investment.

We were in Copenhagen only 3 days and bought the Copenhagen card for 3 days and that was a waste! We should have bought it for one or 2 days only. You kind of struggle to find you way in Copenhagen, especially with the busses. But what disappoint us most was that Tivoli was not open during our stay in Copenhagen. And so were most of the castles in the area closed, you can view it only from the outside. I chatted on-line with the people before we bought the card and we especially told them that we want to see Tivoli and if it is free on the card, they said yes, but they did not mention that it is closed! So the card was actually a lost for us. The card is an excellent option to buy, if everything is open and if you do have time - buy the card only for some of the days and not for all the days you visit. You need at least one day to explore the old town, shopping street, which all is within walking distance from each other, for that you do not need a card. To visit Roskilde, Helsingor and Hillerod is best to do it with a card but plan then for 2 days and use one day for the canal cruise at sunset - then it is a win!

We bought several 72 hour card for a group of friends for 93 Euros per card and the card did eventually pay for itself, but just barely. It is fairly expensive our visit costs was around 100 Euros if we did not have the card. However, it did make things very convenient when we used the public transport and we were asked for this card while on the Metro to the airport. We've also used it to visit some attractions that were quite costly like the National Aquarium and Tivoli Gardens. As a note to Tivoli, the card DOES NOT cover the cost of the rides, it is only applicable for the entry alone. Ride passes have to be bought separately which is around 230 Danish Kroner for a standard all day pass.

We bought the hop on hop off pass, as usual, to see the lay of the land in Copenhagen. But when we wanted to take a train to the Viking museum in Roskilde, we discovered the value of the Copenhagen Card. It covered the train ride cost and admission plus travel on all city transportation, admission to most attractions in Copenhagen , and the train ride to the airport. To me this is a very worthwhile card, which paid for itself in the two days we had it.

I highly recommend the Copenhagen Card, especially if you'll be touring the city for two-three days or more. The card includes free use of all public transportation for the duration of your card; entry to the major attractions you will be interested in seeing, most often bypassing the ticket lines; and a one-time scenic canal tour originating in Nyhavn. The card gives you the flexibility to do a "fly through" of a museum or castle; i.e., visit it for only a specific exhibit or just to check it out, rather than going through the entire facility to ensure you get your money's worth. It also encourages you to visit more attractions since there is no additional cost to you. During our three-day visit, entry to every attraction we wanted to see was included with the card. We purchased ours on arrival at the airport. The Information kiosk that sells them is not very far down the corridor to your left as you exit the Customs area in the International Terminal. Just a little farther down the same corridor you'll also find ATMs to get Danish Kroner. Then, If you head back to the doors coming out of Customs and walk to the inside corner of the large lobby that those doors open into, the escalator in the corner will take you to subway into town - free with your new Copenhagen Card.
I don't recommend buying your card in advance. One of the couples traveling with us arrived a day late and would not have received a refund had they purchased their cards in advance. Another couple with us purchased their cards on line and mistook the barcoded receipts for their cards. That mistake cost them two hours on our first day of touring when they had to go to an issue point to receive the actual cards. The agent chuckled and said that was a frequent mistake. In addition to the four advertised sales points, the cards are available at a few large hotels and other strategic points around the city. You should be able to find one convenient to your arrival point. Even at the airport, my wait was only a couple of minutes during a relatively busy time of day.

Visiting Copenhagen for 4 days prior to debarking on a Transatlantic cruise, my husband and I with another couple decided to get the Copenhagen Cards after we saw that, along with numerous attractions we wanted to visit, the Cards also provide unlimited Public Transportation on busses and trains. We used it immediately to get from the CPH Airport to our hotel, which was a convenient 1 block walk from the Central Station.
We were provided entry into the sites we knew we wanted to visit, inc. Tivoli Gardens, Christiansborg Palace, and a Canal Boat tour in Nyhavn. The Card alsoallowed us to take the train out to see "Hamlet's" Castle in Helsingor (Kronborg)!! (A MUST SEE!) It also led us to The Round Tower, Rosenborg Castle and even a fun time at the Copenhagen Ripley's Believe It Or Not!! (We were looking for the Hans Christian Anderson house and it led us here!! LOL)
The Card is well-known by all locals and every attraction was very accommodating and welcoming. The Card made everything easy!

Every country that has such a card under whatever name has very different rules but Copenhagen Card is one of the best I have used so far.
I bought mine at the airport between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 on arrival even though you can order one online and have a digital card on your phone. With the card I also got a brochure with all the sights it covers and the conditions, as well as a lot of information from the lady who sold it to me. So I could immediately use it for the train to get to the city center and then I used it non-stop for commuting and museums.
By visiting one museum a day and doing a return trip a day I nearly used it up but I think it helps more than just saving some cash, it gives you a peace of mind which is incredibly important in a country where you don’t speak the language and in a location which you are not familiar with. And this time I was incredibly lazy because of the New Year holidays and the cold weather, meaning with my average sightseeing pace and enthusiasm I would have done many more places as it gives free access to most if not all Copenhagen attractions and provides you with free transportation within very much the city limits you would like to stay in. Copenhagen metro is 24/7 even though the trains are occasionally delayed for restarting the computers as they have driverless trains (spent about 40 minutes on a platform once, otherwise it is runs every few minutes). Copenhagen Card is a must have.

We bought these cards for 72 hours, about £80 but so worth the money. We travelled from the airport by train after we'd arrived. The next day we went to Elsinore by train, we went into the castle and back to Copenhagen getting off the train early to see The Little Mermaid then back on the train and into Copenhagen. The next day we went to Malmo using the card into Copnhagen . After we'd seen The Bridge and had a good look round we returned by Flixbus and once in Copenhagen went for a meal where we got a 20% discount...on the card.. Our last day we did the royal palace again on the card...the palace does more than one tour...the rooms, the stables and the kitchen, each you have to pay for...show the card and away you go...then off to Nyhaven, back to the hotel and train back to the airport. Make sure before you buy how many zones you think you'll travel into...our cards covered all 99 , because there are hefty fines if you go wrong. Well worth every penny.
