We enjoy visiting markets and this one was quite good. Many good food and market stalls housed in 2 glass houses. You can find lots of established eateries like Gorm's pizza, Grod (local porridge) and Laura's Bakery amongst shops selling quaint, interesting items like top end specialist knives, quality kitchen pots and pans, olive oils, spices, hand/face/body creams and cleansers,... There is a good selection of food, both to eat there or take away. We had some amazing porridge and a pastry. There isn't much space to sit and it can get busy but the food is amazing.

Definitely worthy of your time whilst in Copenhagen. Beautiful market, great vibe, yummy food. Best try for us was at a Vietnamise place over there, todiefor pulled pork buns. Also a great place to try out the local cuisine or gather stuff for a picnic basket.

Easy access from downtown via either line stopping at the Norreport Metro Station. This is housed in 2 enclosed (and heated) buildings with a few vegetable and plant vendors outside in between. There are many little cafes as well as regular food (meat, seafood, vegetables, wine) to purchase. We sample a delicious piece of cake and a small salad of... More

Lots of delicatessen shops and food stalls under one (two) roofs. You can sit and eat or take away or shop for delis, wines, craft beers, even fancy kitchen ware. Nice place to sit outside w a glass of wine on a sunny day. Busy/crowded at lunch hour.

If you are interested in food, this place is a must. Both to take with and to eat right there and then. There are many options so every one can find a favorite. Everything is fresh and good looking. Take a look at both sides and then decide your strategy based on how hungry you are and how much money... More

Torvehallerne is a good place to go to experience fresh produce from Danish farmers and fishermen. Locals as well as visitors are coming to Torvehallerne. The flipside of the coin is prices that tend to be high.

Our hotel is really close by and we didn't have breakfast included in our package, so we went there for breakfast almost every morning. There are so many choices and options. Love the open sandwiches, and coffee/pastries there. We also ordered fresh oysters and tapas to eat when we strolled along!

These two food halls have something for everyone, at any time of the day. Go here and grab a nice porridge breakfast at Grød or some traditional Smørrebrød in the stall next to it. If you're in a hurry, just grab a coffee and something fast to go. Or if you're in the company of friends. Get a table and... More

Chanced upon this and then discovered everyone else knew about it! Lots of top end market stalls and places to eat - a foody heaven! Used by tourists but more importantly by the Danes.

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
