The station has been improved and the addition of all the Danish flags makes it more pleasant than before. But it is still a cold experience in the winter. The shops are adequate, and you find most of what you need, although you have to search a bit to find the shop you need. It is a busy place with... More

It's a typical European station. Trains leave on time and they go everywhere you want. Trains are very comfortable and the most of them provide free WiFi

A lean, central station that works and has everything needed to be a hub for public transport. It is both functional and pretty. There is plenty of help available should you need it, but the ticket machines are fairly straightforward in several languages. It doesn't have the seedy feel that so many stations do. And it is truly central.

We had two lovely trips out of Copenhagen by train. They run frequently and quickly. Train system is easy to navigate.

Clean, huge and easy understandable layout for even us foreigners. The metro, S train run out from here. The train that takes you directly to the airport leaves about every 12 min. Station opens at 5am. Get a 72 hour ticket if you are visiting. Go to automated kiosk. Lots of fast food shops to eat inside. And even more... More

The train from the airport can drop you here. From here you can take a train to just about anywhere. All the buses stop here, the Metro is close and the tourist buses start from here. You can always get a healthy quick meal and tourist information here.

If you arrive by plane, the electronic ticket kiosks for the train will accept your Visa card. This is not the case for the return trip from the Central train station to the airport. So if you are catching an early train remember that you can purchase a ticket at the 7-11 inside the station.

Central station is easy to use as it's simply laid out and well signed. The information booth is conveniently located and the agent knowledgeable and helpful. Beside the transportation aspect the Central Station houses small shops and restaurants. It is clean and well maintained. It is best to buy tickets from the kiosks as the lines in the ticket office... More

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
