Fascinating combination between a graveyard and a park. Makes for a nice place with shade during hot summer days. Some of the old tombstones are very interesting

Once we found our way in it was lovely to wander around. Good luck finding H.C. Andersen's grave though - we had to check on Google in the end as the signs weren't clear. Hoping to find Niels Bohr but the place is huge! I...More

This is a listed cemetery, with graves from the 18th century to today, many of them of great historic importance. Hans Christian Andersen, Soeren Kierkegaard and others, big names in Danish history. Very atmospheric. Visitors from non-Scandinavian countries might be even more intrigued by the...More

Beautiful park / cemetery, which provided shadow from the june heat and the city’s hustle. Good place to jog and walk. Beautiful flowers.

This is a beautiful shady forest in the city. It is quite poetic to see so many parents waking and sitting with babies listening to birdsong, the start and end of life.

very special cemetery, lots of space in between graves, no stone kerbs, just live greenery, bushes, hedge... very personalised tombstones, beautiful blooming trees

It was bigger than I had expected but a peaceful place to take a stroll. Some famous Danes are buried there, among them HC Andersen. I visited shortly after it was getting dark, this gave it a special atmosphere.

One of Copenhagen's many bicycle “highways” plays an
integral part to this neighbourhood as it snakes its
way through the city. This bicycle path, which allows
you to pass almost unhindered from one end of town to
the other, is bordered by green oases, skater parks,
benches, cafés and all kinds of other recreational
facilities. One of the major squares surrounding the
bicycle path is called the Red Square, which offers an
