We wanted to visit Assistens to see Hans Christian Andersen's grave. This cemetery is quite large, so we were happy to see there were some signs posted to lead you to the site. Also, there is a large map near the front entrance that highlights...More

What a wonderful park we discovered just around the corner from where we were staying. The colours of autumn were bursting on this sunny day as we enjoyed the lovely gardens as we strolled for a couple of hours.

Did not go here at night but might be kinda spooky depending on the fog levels. Really nice park and burial place of Kierkegaard and that other guy.

Easy to find with the free maps supplied at the train statio. Although it's not one of the "featured" places to visit. It's near the botanical gardens and about 20 minutes walk from the train station. There is an underground station nearby.

Copenhagen is a walking city and the cemetery is an nice addition. Alternately new and old, there's something interesting to see around every corner.

A cemetery that is alive. Full of beautiful trees, people cycling around. An experience worth living rather than writing about.

One of the most beautiful cemeteries I've been too. spread out in the park, it really is a place of rest. Rest for the death but also for the living, it is very peaceful. One of my favourite places in Copenhagen.

One of Copenhagen's many bicycle “highways” plays an
integral part to this neighbourhood as it snakes its
way through the city. This bicycle path, which allows
you to pass almost unhindered from one end of town to
the other, is bordered by green oases, skater parks,
benches, cafés and all kinds of other recreational
facilities. One of the major squares surrounding the
bicycle path is called the Red Square, which offers an
