Very crowded & lively. We walked on the opposite side which was a little less congested & you can admire the houses/architecture from afar. Also, for those doing the canal tour, it is a little more to embark from here. We went from Ved Stranden as part of the Copenhagen Card & it was easy & a good bargain.

Absolutely love this place. Such an amazing atmosphere in beautiful surroundings. Seems to be culinary delights for every taste or some choose to sit and chill and watch the world go by over a beer or coffee. Nice, interesting shops close by and some amazing architecture. Just here on business and can’t wait to share the experience with my wife..

Nice place to stop and people watch, eat and drink. we found a friendly bar to sit in and drink under the heaters and covered up in blankets ( was a bit chilly) and people watched with a glass of beer. we walked up and down the harbour wall and tried to evade everyone else doing the same thing, very Busy! A must see whilst in Copenhagen, however youngest son said "what you doing in Weymouth?" ( UK! )

A must visit just to see the colourful buildings! A very pretty place to walk, plenty of restaurants and bars. We recommend getting a hot dog from one of the stands as it’s a lot cheaper. Didn’t seem too busy when we went which for us is a good thing. At night the bars are well lit with fairy lights, heaters and blankets…it was pretty cold sat outside but it was worth it for the pretty views. The staff were all nice and welcoming who we met and drinks were average price for a big city. Loved our time wandering around Nyhavn with the different coloured houses and restaurants etc. Enjoyed a meal on the quay which was great to people watch. Lots of Xmas markets down by the quay and pretty lights on all of the boats in the water.

Beautiful area particularly in December with the Christmas lights on a backdrop of colourful buildings and the harbour. Definitely worth a walk around, maybe visit one of the many restaurants or bars. We visited a variety of, very expensive beers but I suppose ok for one!

I really recommend going there during christmas time. It felt like a winter wonderland with all the christmas lights and little shops they put up. Also you should try Gløgg. Its really good and some sort of warm wine with spices.

I feel like you can't visit Copenhagen and not go to Nyhavn. It's a really lovely area. We went during December so visited the Christmas markets. So nice to walk around and just take in the atmosphere.

What a beautiful little place on the canals. A really lovely harbour town in Copenhagen that has lots going on. It has lots of restaurants and bars. There are lots of canal trips which we went on one. It gave your a good history of the are. Very busy and lots of lively and chilled vibes there
