Very nice local museum with quite a large collection of local artefacts and special items from the area. The exhibits are well laid out and give an interesting history of Aalborg and although although the signs are (obviously) in Danish there are English fact sheets...More

Local museum is fine to have, but not the big attraction though it is located in center Aalborg. Seems dusty and old and without the dynamic drive of some museums. Mostly old ladies talking quietly. Exebitions are nice.

A great place, to visit! I went with a friend. Its a very small community but I enjoyed my stay. It had a main street with lots of shops near this museum/

Aalborg is a great city, but outside of Denmark, it is largely unknown. When going to Denmark, don't limit yourself to Copenhagen and the vicinity. Venture forth and discover the little gems that abound.

When you are going to visit this museum it will take you back in time. Next to Viking's cemetery you will find this museum. You will find a lot of hand made things also. Next to the store is located the museum. It tells you...More

The museum is nice, but I do wish more exhibits were translated to English. The exhibits on the upper levels are mostly in Danish so while they artifacts were neat to look at I was not always sure what I was looking at.

There was a lot of local history and many artifacts from different eras. We really enjoyed the rooms with the WWII history and displays. There were a lot of very specific people and stories described and was quite expansive overall. The preserved Renaissance room was...More

Considering how far North Aalborg is (typical college town), and how small, there are a few worthwhile places to visit. Of course, a local museum is a good place to start. The displays are good quality; well captioned and the venue has that "homey" flavor....More

It has some nice pieces of history, the bigger part is dedicated to glass and silverwork in Aalborg. Sweet personnel, information is in English as well. You can enjoy the museum and after just have a cup of coffe/tea there
