This is a giant needle which is part of one of the fairy tales of HC Andersen.It is located in a pedestrian street with lots of shops.

My sister has told me that is it is actually a needle and thread.... Something else strings to mind though. I'd recommend checking it out!

Odense is full of HC Anderson stuff - this is one of the many statues around town that relate to one of his many stories. This one took me a while to work out - let's be honest, it's quasi-pornographic, anyway.
