Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The most obscene and shameless thing I've experienced as a Christmas experience....the games are very expensive (5-8 euros per person), with a short duration (those of us who manage to pocket them), without any special activity or action for the children... simple carnival, amusement park, dressed in the mantle of Christmas. Even the waffles sold by a "tsadiri" called Traditional, were pre-baked and simply reheated and you ate rubber with greens.... I have never felt a bigger scam...

People for all around Greece, they are coming in Trikala during Christmas period just visiting Matsopoulou Mill. The Mill of elves.

An exemplary restoration of a flour-mill, taking you back to the dawn of the Greek industrial era of 19th century. The surrounding area very well-looked-after. A nice cafe in the complex.

Great food and great music. The area is used for many events . The old mill itself has been renovated and the whole area is great for families.

One of the best places I've ever been to! Like a small Disneyland! Lovely decorated with a great lot of things to do (a small fair), to nibble ( Christmas wine, hot chocolate, waffles etc) The entrance is free. I surely recommend it, especially if you have children, or even if you feel like a child!

We drove 400 km to take our kids to this place for xmas feeling! Was a sunday in mid december and there were loads of people! If you consider the xmas activities offered for children i would say zero. A little train to take them around you can find everywhere! Pizza inside the mill i would not consider xmas food and chocolate is sold in any place around the world! Ahhhh not to forget about express SANTA! He was so fast to take the kids off his feet after the photographer made 2 photos in 3 seconds, he even forgot to ask the kids what they wish to have from santa this year, no have you been good kids? Maybe not to give any parent a chance to take a photo off themselves! Yes those are sold printed on bad paper for 10€ right behind the scene! Shame on you trikala! All you do is fill up your city with busses full of people to fill your restaurants and cafeterias which were so overcrowded that even there the quality and service was bad! A b class luna park safed the day for the kids which were very dissappointed! Try to avoid if you respect xmas and your kids! Ever wondere why it is so difficult to find this activity on trupadvisor???

We visited before night fall so the atmosphere was slightly lacking, it was very quite but the staff were fantastic with the children. The baked goods were hard and stale, I would suggest you take a picnic and steer the children away from the food stands. The ice skating was fun but it was a bit cold playing around on the fun fair, there are a number of things to do inside. It's free to get in and and we parked on the street opposite as the car park looked a little muddy. Wait until dark and it would have a lovely Christmas treat.

This place is everything a small child wants.
Santa Claus sitting by a fireplace at his home, a huge fan park (with trains, carousels, bumper cars etc.), chocolate and candies, face-painting, funny looking pirates posing for photos, even a pirates' ship, a lots of places to play and act, ice-skating, etc.
There is also a restored water mill, showing the process of flour production, a mushrooms museum and many tiny shops for souvenirs or charity organizations.
It is truly awesome, but you cannot name it a Christmas Park. Furthermore, you should know that the entrance is free, but you have to pay for a lot of the activities.

If you want to have your kid feel amazed, plan a visit!
