Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's nice, and you have a great view of it and Mt Olympus in the background if you stay at the divani hotel right there. (5th floor has best views) they were doing construction on it while I was there, but it was cool to see nonetheless. The war memorial is close by, as well as a bunch of little monuments sporadically placed within the area.

The theater is impressive, but we were only able to see it from the street (maybe in summer you can go in...). The area around is filled with restaurants and bars, and even on a weekday evening in january it was quite lively.

Around the area, you can find lots of bars and taverns. Perfect place for families. The ruins are the foundations of Saint Achilles that was built in the 4th-century B.C. Next to it, you will see the Ottoman 'Bezesteni' which was built in 1479 B.C. And a few meters away there the 1rst Ancient Theatre. So as you can imagine the whole area is very historical.

It's fascinating to imagine any ancient ruins populated with people going about their day.... two thousand years ago. While this site has a way to go in terms of excavation, there is a lot to imagine on site. The theater is a real gem. Rumor has it that parts of the seating were scattered around the site and beyond for use in new constructions but over time were slowly restored to reconstruct the space as it was.

It's an amazing remainder of the splendor of the ancient Greece! Only a quarter of the theater is uncovered, the rest is still under the neighboring buildings. The size and the enormous effort required to build it are impressive.

A magnificent and well-reserved theatre, where you may enjoy your walk at the surrounding areas and a coffee at the surrounding cafes

It's a place to learn about local history. Ancient roman and greek history. Two ancient theaters, the big one, is at restoration phase.

The city center of Larissa is filled with history and taverns. Lots of young people fill the bars and taverns around the ancient ruins. Unusual combination but it works! Larissa surprised us and turned out to be a worthwhile stop on our trip to Greece.
