The ruins that make up this old byzantine capital off the island will give you a peek into a world so different from the one most of us live in today. Walking through the narrow pathways, it takes only a little imagination to see the...More

Didn't really know what to expect. Thank god for 4x4 drive that got us close enough. The Kastro is in ruins but informative signs are placed by the old sites which provides a nice historical background. The views are breathtaking. Hot as.. beep, bring water...More

We visited this hidden gem in may. We were site seeing on our quad bike and came across a crazy paving road the width of a single car. We followed it and ended up in a small car park. Surprisingly cars were also there. We...More

We chose the overland route in a jeep (it can also be reached by boat) but it is still a decent walk in the heat (wear sturdy shoes)- but there was a lovely breeze. The views are stunningly beautiful - and due to its remoteness...More

Absolutely stunning place to visit. A bit of a hike so if possible don't wear flip flops! But it's worth it just for the photo opportunities and the views!

You can drive very close to it but the walk up into the ruined village does require walking on small rocks along paths. You can get a reasonable view of it from the small car park right at the bottom of the approach.
