The spacious new museum divides the finds into themes rather than chronology and doesn't overwhelm with overcrowded displays. There are some spectacularly well preserved pots and mosaics. Best for the Roman period. As we hate taking Greek taxis we took the No. 6 bus, which dropped us off around the corner from the museum but it was easily visible and... More

This museum has some reconstructed houses, a reconstructed private bath, and several excellent mosaics. They also have a second floor that is just for viewing the houses and mosaics from above.

we did an interactive activity in the museum and we were impressed by its exhibition. It should be more known to everyone.

Found the museum to be well organized and interesting for visitors for the first time. Located a couple of miles from our hotel, so was very accessible. Modern and interesting.

Massive, spanking new archeological museum on the outskirts of Patra city on the Peloponnesus. Sparse, but valuable collection from the area. Three well organized and well appointed room. Very good and friendly staff. Not really worth a visit in my opinion. I'd rather have had lunch by the sea.

The exhibits are well presented and the overal concept of the Museum is attractive. The visitor gets a good impression of the ancient life at the time under consideration.

I have been visiting family in Patra for years and never thought the city very compelling, but this museum gave me new insight into it's history and it's actually fascinating...in fact it inspired me to take a walk around the old town to see ruins and visualize what Patra used to look like. i mean the Romans built a 7km... very interesting museum about the life of ancient patras. The museum has three parts, one of them with excellent mosaics from roman villas in patras

The scope of this museum is quite narrow, being just of Greek/Roman history. That said, the exhibits are pretty special and quite wonderfully presented. The museum is very roomy and cool inside, with plentiful free parking.
