on the road to Rotunda, you will find a lot of old constructions (ruins) very well preserved, bat unfortunetly the magiority are closed, so you will be able see them from outside.

I think as we were only in Thessaloniki for a short trip we probably haven't seen all the historic artifacts that this wonderful city has tucked away.

This arch is certainly worth going to and further up the road the Rotunda externally as well as inside is better again.

No reason to try to view this year. Told scaffolding is to be only thing to view until February 2018

Thankfully well preserved in the heart of the city, surrounded by shops and cafes. Many of these old sites take you a little by surprise as you simply wander the streets.....just keep walking, around each corner there will be another amazing site & sight!

If you are in the area then the arch way is worth a look, mainly to be astounded by how it is still standing (old photos shows that trams used to run under this arch along the main street) but there is also some nice...More

Somehow like Rome , Thessaloniki is an open air museum . whenever around centre , you will have the opportunity to observe this heritage of post-roman , Christian and Byzantine eras. !!!
