You can show, eat, drink amd sleep all right there. Plenty of shops restaurants, patisseries, fast food places, souvenir shops, cinema even a market of fresh fish, meat and other goodies. A place to walk crowded but pleasant. If you walk down( or up) the square you will meet many street performers, college students, small local cantines selling seasonal street... More

Thessaloniki is belly button of the Balkans and belly button of Thessaloniki is - Aristotelous Square. This is the meeting place of the Thessalonians and foreigners too, for drinking morning coffee, for showing and watching, for sharing new and old news, for daily portion of gossip ... Also, this is my favorite point in this part of the world. Whole... More

Nice attraction for tourists. Location was always busy but you could see the water and hills from here.

We stayed at the Electra Palace that was on the square. It was a busy hub of the city with lots going on all times of the day. It opens onto the promenade by the sea and is very popular place to sit in the surrounding restaurants and bars.

This is a lovely square which is the heart of the city. It's a big, open space with impressive buildings around, lots of cafes, restaurants and patisseries. Well worth a visit on foot.

This is the place in the center of the city everyone walks through. Is has a statue of Aristotelous, wow. Lots of nice little cafes around it. Beware the wannabe Jamacians trying to sell cheap junk.

It is always nice to come back to this square which, although it can be busy, is the beating heart of the city. The view is great, particularly if you can view it from the top of the Electra Palace Hotel.

Central square, filled with small shops, cafes and nice bars to hang out at. Very busy from morning till night. Excellent snack/breakfast/lunch options at various spots (ex Mono, Paradosiako are excellent choices).
