If you have interests in Byzantine Culture we highly recommend this museum. It is well displayed and informative. It also has a variety of Byzantine artifacts. This city was very important during the Byzantine era and it is reflected in the museum.

Well worth a visit to see all the artifacts here, a good selection very well presented. A good trip for a rainy day especially for history buffs.

The icon section is outstanding as is the section with portions of former churches. One nice think is that you can freely take photos (w/o flash) inside.
