Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a very nice spit with a great castle which is not only a ruin.
.
You acezss it easily by car and then 5mn of stairs.
You will enjoy a fantastic spot with Greek Islands on the background, which is unique to this coast as the most famous ine, East Coast, is close to Turkey and does not offer this.
A smalll roll is open inside where you can see the walls.
If yiu stay on the East Coast as most of the Tourists, take the West-East road which is crossing the center if Rhodes Island. Nothing to do but incredible nature and nobody !
You will also see very typical Rhodes villages with no Tourists 👍

Visited the castle as part of a day trip with Manos Going. The path up to the castle is quite steep but not too long, but you can always enjoy a drink at the small cafe at the bottom of the hill if you don't fancy walking up. Some of the ground within the castle is uneven, so watch your step, but the views from the castle over the surrounding area and coastline are worth it.

This castle ruin is beautiful spot for sea views. But don't expect to learn anything. This place does not have any information signs or similar. You just have to google to learn the history of this place. I would say this place is not safe to visit with small kids or if you have trouble with balance or walking because there is steep stairs, big drops and uneven ground and no hand rails/safety rails anywhere.

Lovely ruins with views over the sea. A nice little cafe just off the car park service drinks. Not a hugh amount of time is needed to look around. 20/30 mins is more than enough. It is free to enter. Would not recommend for unattended children or buggies as no safety barriers. Its very rocky and lots of steps.

The attraction itself was nice but the view is amazing.
Normally I would have provided 3 stars for this, but after visiting the restaurant/cafe/kiosk at the parking lot, I have to provide 5 stars.
A more nice and gentle service you will not find anywhere.
Support this little amazing kiosk - just to ensure he will survive.
Actually his water are more cold than most of other places.

Follow the signs to the castle (Google maps tries to take you down some dirt tracks that are dead ends. There is a large car park and a small restaurant serving drinks. Like so many of the castles on Rhodes while it’s free to visits there is no history or information available and the few interior rooms are locked. It’s still good to explore though and their are great views out over the sea. Quite popular as well from the number of people looking around.

We were amazed this ruined castle was free to enter. There are well presented steps leading up to the castle. A car park at the bottom with a cafe, toilets but the best part are the views, which are breathtaking. Well worth a stop.

Castle partly ruined on top of a hill with spectacular views of the sea, to access it you need to climb steps sometimes slippery and very unequal from each other. Parapets totally absent, I do not recommend visiting the elderly and especially children. Too bad, it would be to enhance and secure because it is worth the visit.

Excellent views of the Mediterranean Sea. Quiet tourist attraction that allows you take spectacular photos. Free to enter. Wear good shoes with un even surfaces. There are toilets on site and maintained. A small cafe area too. A little pricey but worth it. Takes between 30 minutes to 40 minutes to explore.

the castle is in ruins and is really not suitable for people with walking impairments, however, the views from it are stunning. looking out from the battlements across the sea to the islands in the distance. this is highly recommended but be sure to wear appropriate shoes for rough and uneven terrain.

Hi there, Can anyone advise me how I can get to Kritinia Castle? We're staying in Pefki and would really love to visit here for a sunset. thanks!

I think you really need a car. There are busses around the island but it could take a while. The island is really easy to drive around and the car rental is pretty cheap. We used Rodos cars and would definitely recommend them.
