- Elspeth M10 contributionsSardines come to mind.Very crowded on a Sunday for a small cove. Sunbeds €30 and cramped in together. Lots of people squeezing on beach in spaces without parasols. Good beach bar but again expensive with a captive audience. Water not clear for snorkling despite the diving groups there. So many people in the water!Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 July 2024
- Karen TNewbury, United Kingdom16 contributionsClear waters, beginner friendlyI am brand new to snorkelling and after a bit of googling we decided to catch a taxi here from Rhodes. It was such an amazing experience, very clear water and a great variety of fish. It has left us wanting more! The bar staff were kind enough to arrange a taxi back to Rhodes after we had finished. We would have loved the option of lockers as we did not want to hire a sun lounger as we were only there for the snorkelling and so we left our belongings on the rocks which left us a little nervous but our belongings were still where we left them after our swim.Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 9 July 2024
- MarisaPortsmouth, United Kingdom43 contributionsBetter than Anthony Quinn Bay!Me and my partner spent the day here and had the best time! We went on a Saturday and was not overcrowded like some reviews mention. We both had a sunbed and umbrella, definitely worth the money if you’re spending the whole day here like we did, as it’s definitely worth it. The restaurant is just behind you on the beach as well so it’s very easy to grab a drink and snack when needed. The water was crystal clear! Me and my partner both love snorkelling (and I like swimming deep down) and out of all the places we swam on this holiday, this was honestly the best place for snorkelling/underwater swimming as there is so much coral and places to explore with different types of fish, we even saw a Lion Fish! I would say this place is definitely underrated and highly worth a visit!Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 13 July 2024

Gets the sun when Anthony Quinn Bay is in shade. We first went to Kouna Bay restaurant which has a beautiful setting overlooking Anthony Quinn Bay. Food amazing too. By the time we finished lunch there was no sun left at AQ so we went over to Ladiko. This was a nicer bay for sitting on and the snorkelling was pretty good with clear water and fair amount to be seen. It gets deep very quickly but lovely and calm and suitable for kids snorkelling as long as they are good swimmers. Rocks to explore as well. Couple of tavernas but we didn't eat there.

Rude sun bed staff! We were touring the beaches of the island in a day, and we just wanted to pop our towels down on the beach for like half an hour at most. We had our stuff with us so wanted to put our towels down as close to the shoreline as possible. We spotted a gap big enough between a sun bed and the sea and started to put our stuff down. The sun bed in question was facing the other way toward the sun.
Only to be approached by a local man who told me to not put my stuff there I can put it on the edge of the beach by the rocks. Fortunately I stood my ground, as it’s not a private beach and they are certainly just there to get as much money as possible from tourists. He was getting very pedantic about his guests paying for shade and I can’t put my towel in their shade, which at this point was in the sea. Bit ridiculous!
Numerous people were having the same arguements which tainted my experience of this beach. Would I bother to come here again? No. There are simply nicer beaches further south which are much clearer. Didn’t have any issues on other beaches we visited.

This is our fifth visit to Rhodes and we have always several days on Ladiko Beach. This year we made it our first beach day. Whilst the beach / snorkling / restaurant are great. We were disappointed at how much the cost of sun beds had gone up. 30 euros for two sunbeds. Which is too much. We would normally spend 3 -4 days here. No anymore. We will go to nearby Stegna beach. Was a little fishing village and now a great place to spend on the beach. And has a good range of bars and restaurants. Two sunbeds 10 euros.

Came here after visiting Anthony Quinn Bay in the morning. They are about 5
mins walk from each other so it’s great to make the most of both while you’re there. Ladiko was better than AQ because of the sandy beaches, lots of places to sit, and situated right by a restaurant/bar.
Came here in September, and it wasn’t difficult to find a sun lounger and wasn’t crowded at all - busy but not in a bad way. Would recommend

We came on the first bus from Rhodes town. We were a little worried that there might not be space, but now (September) this does not seem to be a problem. Beautiful clear water, excellent for swimming and snorkelling. We also found the shower and changing room very useful. And we had a tasty lunch there too. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

What a perfect beach! Been to Rhodes about 5 times and always end up coming back here. Best snorkelling I've experienced on the island, spent half an hour watching an octopus last time I was there! Great for kids with a decent expanse of shallow waters before you go beyond the rocks into great snorkelling territory! Absolutely beautiful and fantastic restaurant on the beach too - Greek salad is affordable and delicious! Can't wait to go back there again.

The beach is really beautiful but there is no space for anyone who does not want to pay to the owner of the beach bar who has put his sunbeds everywhere. There is not even a square meter left free for people to stand! When I told a staff member that according to the Greek law beaches are common goods which should be shared and enjoyed by all and not exclusively by their customers she replied angrily that "people in Rhodes have the right to put sunbeds everywhere because this is how they earn money to live"!

Written 17 August 2017
