A perfect picture from down below, of a whitewashed village perched on a hilltop, crowned by a castle (that is the monastery of St John). Buses run a few times a day from the port in Skala - it's only a few kilometres but a...More

Lovely walk up to Chora on the 'old' cobbled road. Quaint whitewashed houses and narrow alleyways. Some good shops and restaurants. Quiet (very few tourists on mid-June). Monastery is lovely and the museum has some wonderful old artefacts.
