Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

the experience is great-especially if you walk all 12 stops of Christ to reach the highest point with the huge cross- the view from there is unparallelled!!!!

as we came near to the Filerimos Church we felt the vibrations of this place entering our body and taking the stress of the day from our shoulders. You just have to be their to understand what I mean.

We got the taxi from our Ialyssos bay hotel to the cross costing 10 Euro for the ten minute up the mountain taxi ride.
A sign with all the set prices are posted on the signpost.
It took us a hour and a half to walk down the " scenic route down the road.
We walked to the cross up the long pathway.
With panromantic views of the sea. Bay. And Ialyssos town.
On the way back down the long and bending road there is a church that is open and free to visit.
You can see the airport runways and lots of peacocks that like to be fed.
At the bottom of the trail there is the locals shopping area with there local shops.
There is another very nice fancy church in this part of town with local pebbles concreted decoratively into the floor outside

What a great place to visit! Decent but windy road to the top and then an amazing panorama over the whole North of the island. (If you're a plane spotter it's a great place to watch planes landing at the nearby airport). Despite the other tourists it feels really peaceful here. Pay a few euros to visit the old monastery which has skme beaytiful icons. A must for any visitor.!

After a long walk between trees shading the path you come to a huge cross and a small church. You can enter the church which is nice, but today you could not go up the stairs inside the cross. The views are fabulous from ground level anyway. Worth a look.

we visited here as part of a tour operated by GEM and had a great guide who gave us lots of information and explanations about how the church and the Cross came to be. You can visit inside the church and the gounds which are quite peaceful until loads of noisy peacocks decide otherwise! If you have time you can climb up into the arms of the cross.

I went and saw this church last Saturday on a tour. The building is an old church and a liquor is sold there, that you can't get anywhere else on the Island. If you visit, you will hear and see many peococks.

Go up with the car. Big parking place and free. Nice view around. If you have time and see some airplan coming, take a nice picture because you are in the same level as the plane because it is perpair the landing. If you want to visit the castle you must pay entry 6€
