Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

All handmade in Santorini by the artist on sight. Cool stuff that you won't find elsewhere and the wife loved it. Great work with colors.

We walked past this shop several times during our Santorini getaway but it wasn't till our last afternoon that we decided to drop in. Not to take anything away from the artist but we enjoyed the unique kitsch to the wearable artwork that typified this memorable holiday spot. Pricey, yes but we didn't come here to bargain as we would in Southeast Asia. I bought my wife a silk scarf that will go with just about any outfit -- daytime or evening. We will fondly remember this holiday trip to Greece and the scarf makes for a classy souvenir. Drop on by and have a look. Plenty to like.

On a 4 week backpack trip this last fall celebrating a significant birthday...I stumbled onto Aegean Designs...which turned out to be the "Jewel" of Santorini in my opinion!

Owned and operated by artist "Allison Ermogenis" and her husband Michael...my finance` and I were utterly impressed by Allisons flair not only by her brush and palette but also the cheerfulness she exudes in her painting as well as her smile and friendly disposition.

Allison captures the beauty of Santorini's everyday life with designs that take on life such as the fish that seem to swim off the print...Allison also possess's that captivating Australian accent that for me cemented the deal...Not only did I purchase the table cloth, the placemats, wine holders among other jewels...only having a backpack they shipped them home for me!

My jewels arrived to my home before I did!

When booking a trip to Santorini look for Aegean Designs...You won't be sorry!

Thanks Allison for the lovely Jewels!

So refreshing to find a studio selling unique, handmade and original art works. Beautiful, vibrant colours and all inspired by Santorini's colours and seascapes. Bit pricey though.

We stumbled on this beautiful Gallery on our way to Fira, and we where so lucky to have met Alison not only a talented artist but truly lovely lady! Alison' s artwork is unique to Santorini as it is all produced by herself amongst her beautiful garden. My girlfriend and I signed up for an art class the following day, in which we both enjoyed immensely! We both left with our own artworks, and feeling pretty happy with ourselves. Alison's art class was the absolute highlight of our time in Santorini, with chilled out music and the most beautiful outdoor garden classroom with lots of laughs. Alison recommended and actually booked a restaraunt for us which turned out again to be another fantastic place that we would not of found on our own! Thank you Alison, you are a Santorini Treasure, not to mention the most friendliest too!

My husband and I had the pleasure of visitng this shop and making some great purchases. I make a habit of buying aprons whenever we travel, but now I have one that is an orignal work of art. I only hope I don't spill too much spaghetti sauce on it while cooking :-) Allison, the artist, was a delight to meet. Her artwork is colorful and I found her concept of bringing it to pillows, aprons and wine bottle covers (which we also bought) very imaginative. It will always remind me of the wonderful visit we had to beautiful Santorini and meeting this talented artist.

I am an avid fan of mythology. Moreover, as far as I have read, Hindu and Greek mythology share a similar timeline. So, I was quite excited to visit all the places in Athens to experience them. It was indeed quite similar. I also had a chance to visit Akrotiri excavation site near Santorini.

Walked passed this place in Fira, and decided to enter and see some local art. I was deeply disappointed. To me the stuff sold here is fast and easy art, made only to sell to tourist that doesnt know better. Aprons and pillows are sold with fast splash paint on them for ridiculous high prices. Some of the pictures painted are okay, even nice, but again the prices are way over the target! And then i dont like that they call the art and gift for unique, when clearly there is a huge production of art in very similar style and look! All of this in combination made me choose to leave the place without buying anything and trying to find local art else where.

We stumbled upon this gallery on our walk from our villa into Fira. The beautiful bougainvillea draws you into the courtyard. Allison was out there painting while we shopped. Her hand painted pillow covers, wine bottle sleeves, tea towels and aprons were something so colorful and very unusual. I found nothing like them anywhere on the island! Although they were a bit "spendy", I was thrilled with the items I did purchase! Each time I see them in my home, it brings me back to Santorini! This is not only a quaint shop, but an authentic experience not to be missed!
