Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

How far is the cruise ship port to Agios Ioannis Beach (Shirley Valentine Beach) and can you get a taxi there and back?

Well, I don't know exactly, but maybe 15 minutes from the center of town. I would highly recommend you check out the transportation options before you do this. It took us just a few minutes of waiting at the taxi stand to get a cab to take us there. The real problem was getting back. The beach restaurant which served us all day, called for a cab and were told that none were available. We didn't know what to. We waited around for a while and went to the restaurant next door. They called and were told the same thing. Finally the host there took pity on us and asked I we would like for him to call a friend and arrange private transportation. This was just a private citizen in his own car that picked us up and drove us to our hotel. It was not the most comfortable idea, as I was with my 18 yo daughter, just two women and the movie taken kept popping in my head. Now, we were told that there was a bus that would pick up there, but I just didn't know how to manage that and where we were going since we hadn't even been to our hotel yet. So, it really was a destination that was worth getting to; especially if you are looking for a quieter experience than the typical crazy Myknos party scen. I just don't know if I'd try it I had to get back to a cruise ship. A driver there later told us that they only issue, like 40 taxi licenses because they don't want the locals to get overrun by cabs and tourists.
