Rethymno combines rarely united features: the old town's charm and history, with proximity to a long sandy beach. it's a place that moves slowly, a very romantic place and the most important preserves much of its Venetian and Turkish appearance. Explore one of the best preserved medieval cities in Greece, and search for your fairy-tale romance in Rethymno. Venetian fortification... More

A nice place. A clean beach and a variety of coffee shop restaurant and bar. Eat traditional food as snails, mussaca, tomatoes with rice, chip, Lamb, pork chops ATC. Drink red or white wine, local beer and viral a drink like Coca-Cola but more delicious.

We LOVED rethymnon! The city is just perfect. It is a little mix between history and modernity. You can find many shops and sites to visit. By the way, you HAVE to check the silver shops is the main markets street. But always ask about the purity of the product. You can park in the large parking just near by... More

Lots of atmosphere, small narrow streets, lots of shops, and places to eat and drink. People are always friendly and smiling. Cretans are righteous known for their hospitality.

Absolutely beautiful! Great shopping and restaurants. The narrow streets at night comes to life as the town's citizens enjoy the vibrant city life. We truly loved the many businesses that offer red live Greek music and culinary delights. You could stay here a month and never get enough of this quaint city.

Picturesque, great streets, very busy and touristy. Try some of the more peripheral streets. Restaurants on the old harbour are expensive.

The strolls in the old town can be endless. The interesting architecture of all times (you see inscriptions on the buildings in turkish, latin and greek), a living historical museum!
