More for kids, but as an adult you can definitely enjoy it. They have an exhibition on dinosaurs, extinct Cretan animal life and a live exhibit of reptiles. Plus + Outside has an excellent scenic view.

This is just the right size and you can spend a morning or afternoon here. Don't miss the incredible earthquake simulation along with advice on how to survive one. The optical illusions were very amusing, especially for children A great list for the entire family.

Seeing this museum before / after the Palace is a must. A lot of the art here links to the archiologial site. Also, it has artifacts from all over crete and older / later periods. It gives prespective to Konossos and creten history
