Beautiful place. More and more monastery in Creete was founded in cave or mount. More peaceful place. We are came in all monastery on car. If you are Orthodox christian you should visit monastery. It is vonderful

Very tranquil with impressive buildings and views. We visited on a Sunday and it was very lacking in monks. Small gift shop with zillions of icons. Beware many of them are not actually painted, they are water slide transfers, reflected in the price
