When tin October .lovely boat trip to the island,and stopped half way for a BBQ,and a dip in the sea,the island itself who's very interesting ,you can walk around the whole island if you wish,I would recommend this trip to spinalonga .

You might be able to do organise this from Plaka the resort nearest to Spinalonga -there is also a boat which leaves the ports of Elounda and Agios at 12:30 and then you can book a tour with a guide at the island I think... More
