While in the Old Town area of Chania, it is not hard to miss this Fortress. When out walking about, it is nice to visit and there are great vantage points and photo ops.

Within walking distance of the bay, these remains are interesting and historic. Not much of this fortress remains but it is such an important piece of local history.

Amazing what people can build without the use of modern construction machinery. A big imposing fortress beside the old harbour with great views out to see and back to town. Keep an eye out for concerts which are held here every so often.

Great to see the old fortress is free of charge given its importance to Crete becoming part of Greece. The views of the harbour from here are fantastic.
