Imported bags from Italy. Why when leather bags are OK in Greece. Loads of fakes. Bags and more bags. Jackets, wallets, purses and bags! Competition galore. Leather Lane it is called. That's what it says on the label!

This was an interesting street to stroll down even though we didn't purchase anything. I think that you would have to look long and hard to find a 'real' bargain but there were a multitude of nice bags and purses none of which I really needed so couldn't justify a purchase

Skrydlof street is not only about leather, although most of the space is taken by it. It's the ideal place to get a pair of sandals or a souvenir to bring home. Don't miss the record shop in the corner, Juke Box, where Giorgos will advise wisely on what to get.

Once you get past the bad designer fakes, there's a lot of good, local leather work available here. There are a number of shops selling sandals, although make sure you try on lots of different styles in lots of different places to find a combination of straps that's comfy for your feet! The little local shops seem the best and... More
