Took two tours with them. The Delphi one day tour was very interesting, though the guide did go into too much detail. It would have been better if the lunch was in a Greek Tavern and not a bland hotel lunch. The half day Cape Sounion was a bit of a disappointment- no photo stops on the way and I did... More

The experience was great from the time I made the call to confirm my booking to the whole lovely day of cruising and sightseeing around the Saronic Islands. The staffs were very friendly and accommodating . The lunch was great and the catamaran was clean there were enough space to roam around or sit ,relax and enjoy the view. The... More

It was worth going on this tour - an educated guide (although a bit pedantic), an extemely talented bus driver (essential on twisty mountain roads), and a good explanation of what we were seeing. The museum and museum tour part of the trip was very worthwhile. The food was unfortunately mediocre - if I did this again, I'd pack a... More

I would rate our guide and driver 5 stars! The 3 star rating reflects the hotels, was supposed to be first class, so a bit of a disappointment. That being said, the room was clean and comfortable. Be prepared for weather, we went in January, encountered snow, cold, wind, and pouring rain, the tour continues despite the conditions unless the... More

We did two tours with this company, the tour to Delphi and Meteora, and the tour to Mycenae and Epidaurus. Both tours were very efficiently run, with a hotel pick-up, and excellent drivers. The tour guides on both occasions were fantastic, with extensive knowledge of Greek history which really made everything worthwhile. The meal stops were in good, local tavernas,... More

Taking this tour was a one of the best decisions we ever made. Tour planning was superb, our tour guide Lila was very knowledgable and accommodating. She was going an extra step to make the tour interesting and enjoyable. Bus driver (Alekos?) was very friendly, reliable, and professional. Most of the Amalia hotels that we stayed at were great. Perhaps,... More

We enjoyed the Classical 3 day tour. We also did a half day tour to Cape Sounion,Temple of Poseidon later. The Amalia properties are clean and well kept. The buses are comfortable and clean. Our tour guide Joy, for the 3 day tour, was exceptional. She is clearly passionate about her job and very knowledgeable. This was one guide who... More

We went on the three-day tour of the classical sites in the Peloponnesus. This is a marvelous way to see some magnificent sites in Greece. Highly recommended. The guide takes good care of you: for example, luggage is moved from the bus to your room each night. Food is good and plentiful. My only criticism is that too many rest... More

We did two tours with them: Mycine and Epidauros and Cape Sunion. The guides were very professional and informative, the couch confortable, good drivers and reasonable prices for what we got. I would say that Mycine and Epidoauros tour was great, the guide, a greek gentleman, i do not remember his name now, took us to Napfklio, a lovely coastal... More

Staying in Syntagma

Neighbourhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
