A royal monument
Oct. 2018
Monumento a D. Pedro V is located in Praca da Batalha, which is a largish square, with many cafes and restaurants around, as well as souvenir and other shops. This king was nicknamed "The Hopeful", as he is credited with encouraging the modernisation of Portugal. The area is behind the lovely Sao Bento Railway station, so you probably will come across it at some stage, if you use the trains. Worth a visit if you are close by.

Underrated
Mar. 2018 • Friends
This sober statue is kind of underrated because it's very beautiful from an interesting King. Located in a central part of the city, I think the square could be more cleaned

Monumento a D Pedro V is located on Praca da Batalha in front of a NH chained-hotel. A normal statue to memorize King D Pedro V in the area.

Monument in the local square
Oct. 2017 • Friends
The monument at Batalha Square is erected to honor King Pedro V. There are many restaurants, cafes, theatre and hotels around. Recommended to cluster around and take a few photos on the buildings there.

Typical Statue
Jun. 2017 • Couples
This is just a normal monument of Pedro V. Nothing special at all and not really worth going out of your way to see it. It does however stand in quite a nice square.

Nice square

Good statue in a pleasant square that also contains a very impressive church and the national theatre and numerous bars. Statue is good but not something you would go out of your way to see but just stumble upon it.

The monument to Pedro .V stands outside the NH Collection hotel, Dated 1862. The monument is in good order despite the birds attempting to perch.
