Beautiful bridge. Great views. Lovely walk. We were on a free walking tour and the guide brought us to enjoy the views.

You must see the bridge while you are in Porto. You can walk on the bottom level (narrow pedestrian walkways) as well as on the upper level. On one side you can use an elevator on the other funicular. You can admire the breathtaking views...More

On both levels, high and low, pedestrians get great views of the river and city. Lots of bars, restaurants, sights close by and kids jumping into the river from the bridge a surprising entertainment.

Spectacular view of the city and easier to access from the Cathedral rather than walking the steep steps.

Not to be missed when in Porto. Take a stroll across the top level for great photo shots. And then take the venicular to the top of the nearby hill and with a small walk you can see inside the railway station.

I would not worry about it! The bridge is quite wide so if you get nervous, you can walk in the middle of the track and not be forced to look down. I have some height issues but no worries for me here. Give it a try. You... More
