The actually central hall was not open when we visited. The gardens near the hall are particularly good. Exiting the gardens down to towards the Douro is difficult to find and steep

By itself, the Palace does not deserve any attention. But it is surrounded by a great garden, boasting magnificent views of the river and the city. Also near the Palace there is a small cafe in the open air, where good food and great brewed...More

Don't bother going to the Palacio de Cristal, but do go for the park and gardens around it. The palacio itself is on the ugly side and is closed. The park is green with lots of trees, a pond, lots of peacocks and peahens with...More

This one is an ugly construction that as no utility at all. Gardens are still nice. At least politics are doing there best to not destroy them too.

It was a very nice park to visit, lots of views over Porto so very good for photo moments. Not very handy when you have trouble walking, lots of stairs but all by all a very nice park!

Even though the building is a landmark, there really isn't much to see. The inside is used for various purposes (sports, performance).

Years ago this used to be a real crystal palace but today it is a rather ugly green dome. The park where it is located, is very nice though! Since it is on a hill, you have some very nice views of the Douro and...More

The arena was closed ,as seems to be the case most of the time and it is a bit of a walk to find a gate in but it was worth the effort. The gardens are lovely, well tended and spotlessly clean, there wasn't too...More

Since, you have to work your way down by Palacio de CristalI, it is a bit impractical. You can find though lots of parking space near the entrance to the garden (on top), and then you'd need to come back to the car, or park... More

As far as I know dogs are allowed on leashes as long as you clean up after them.
