Such a beautiful cathedral inside and outside! Really recommended to visit it. Free entrance. Beautiful view from the square in front of the cathedral

Grand cathedral in heart of town with tall plain stone columns and a decorative altar. The €3 fee to view the tiled cloisters is worth it. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

Went to 11.00 Sunday Mass. Enjoyed it even if not speaking much Portuguese. It is built of granite so is fairly dark. Small congregation - seems that the influence of the RC Church in Portugal has weakened. Spectacular position of Cathedral. Outside there are superb...More

The cathedral is not so spectacular, even a bit austere. BUT you can visit a little interior museum (tickets are bought inside) which culminates with the inner yard. I have rarely seen a more spectacular azulejo work!

The Se is a stunning cathedral that is a must. We also attended mass on Sunday at 11am and we were surprised when they read the gospel in English in addition to Portuguese as well as the Prayers of the Faithful.

The Cathedral sits on top of the hill, beautiful architecture. You can walk up the stairs from Ribeira or take the lift. From up you can see the walls that surrounded the city.

Beautiful Cathedral dominating the square. A must see on the city visit and a monument to craftsmen of the past.

We just walked up to the cathedral. Line wasn’t bad at all. You only pay if you want to see More than the main sanctuary.
