We just happened by this place and thought we would go in. It turns out it is free on weekends. Otherwise Euro 2.5 pax. Not bad. The house displays the personal collection of Guerra Junqueiro (1850-1923), an administrator, artist, journalist and poet. He collected furniture,...More

Some interesting antiquities collected by a very rich poet! Strange experience though as we had to be accompanied around the museum by a "guide", he was more of a "guard" though. I tried to engage him in conversation as I thought he was a guide...More

Wandered round back of cathedral and discovered this modest museum/house. Quite atmospheric and some interesting antiquities. Tip: the adjacent café of the museum has inexpensive food and friendly service which you can consume in the sunshine of the charming courtyard.

Just behind Sé do Porto, in the heart of the historical center, this Museum was Guerra Junqueiro's house (as the name indicates) and offers a quite unique collection. Certainly worth a visit!

A big mansion from the 18th century, decorated with the belongings of the famous Portuguese Poet from the 19th/20th century. It also houses temporary expostions. It gives a nice feeling of living history. But my favorite part: when you ask nicely at the reception, they will...More
