No we didn't take the train but the tile murals are the attraction. It is a sight to behold. We stayed for twenty minutes or more admiring the art work and the historic scenes they represent.

Came here with my husband and daughter. The floor to ceiling blue tiles depict Portugal historical scenes and are beautiful to look at. Watch out for the many many pickpockets lurking around trying to find their opportunities. Take care of your valuable while snapping away...More

This is an impressive railway station and the tiled walls are worth a look. It is always busy, more with tourists than travellers I think, so it can be a bit of a challenge taking photo's!

pretty tiles, nice piece of history to see. we were not travelling by train that day, just went to see the beautiful azulejos, which did not disappoint.

So said the promo. The station is filled with beautiful tiles and a spectacular ceiling. It also has an excellent coffee shop for a drink and pastries.

Sao bento seems like any other station in most ways tho the ticket guy was really helpful and pleasant. The central foyer of the staton however is definitely worth visiting as it if absolutely beautiful.

Hi We are looking at taking the fastest train from Lisbon to Porto (Oct 3rd from Lisbon to Porto and returning back to Lisbon on Oct 5th or 6th. Is there a website that has the departing/arrival times daily. I don't speak Portuguese unfortunately so not sure if there is a English website?
